Vanessa’s garden

Our client wanted to revamp her current kitchen garden into a more functional space to be able to grow more food for the household. We proposed several planting schemes to allow for a variety of plants to be grown, from fruit trees to herbs & vegetables. This build was unique in that we source all the materials from within the site, we only brought in some soil & compost to fill the beds. A decommissioned wooden rabbit coop was upcycled into 3 raised beds for annual vegetables, metal frames from an old chicken coop became a trellis, and we also cut down a slanted tree to obtain logs to form a large keyhole bed. A banana circle was dug as well, where kitchen scraps and any other organic material could be composted within the ditch.
