CHIJ Our Lady Queen of Peace

A butterfly garden was requested to liven up this space. It was a bit of an unfortunate space as it was cemented, was lacking in connectivity to habitats on other areas of the school campus and was also quite shaded. We proposed for self-watering planters here to reduce the need for maintenance and selected for plants which we have previously observed flowering in shady conditions. Generally, growth was slower compared to if there was more Sun, but birds and butterflies were sighted entering the garden after the set up. Planters were also a mixed of colours to brighten up the space.
